Hey there, in this blog I will be talking about my Chicago History Ideas. I hope you enjoy.
Ok first, lets talk about what is a Chicago History idea. So some of you may know I am in 6th grade, in the 2nd quarter, and my class and I just started a new unit. Chicago History. Our mission is to find 1 specific moment in Chicago History and research about it so you can present it to the class.
So we had to pick 3 different topics about Chicago and decide which we’re going to present about. My top 3 is: The Black Sox Scandal, The Chicago Fire, and The Valentines Day Massacre. I obviously chose the Black Sox Scandal because I love sports (everyone knows that), I actually know a little bit about the scandal (books, and random helpful sites), I have this article from my teacher that has a lot of information about it, and I already know 3 sites that can help me.
And that’s all, you now know what I’m doing and what a Chicago History Idea is. Maybe you can do a little research about a historical moment in Chicago. I hope you enjoyed my blog for today.

Thanksgiving Plans
Welcome back, in this blog I will be talking about my Thanksgiving plans. I hope you enjoy!
So my family and did decorate our house, again. We have Thanksgiving editions table cloths, some stickers in our kitchen, a Thanksgiving circle on our door, and some extra decorations in our kitchen and living room.
I was going to dress up with a hat, but my mom said it was as too expensive, even though this bow she gave me and wanted me to wear was more expensive!
Now for my family, we have a special tradition for Thanksgiving. My mom and my 2 younger sibling go to my Mexican part of the family (aka my moms friends, cousins, and aunts and uncles). While my dad and I go to my African American part of the family mainly because there is a lot of good food, we enjoy football, and I can hang out with my cousins.
At my African American part of the family, I play with my cousins video games, eat a lot and I mean a lot of food, then watch some classic football for the rest of the day.

My Weekend
Hi there, in this blog I will be talking about my weekend, I hope you enjoy!
To start it out, I just gotta say that I am on a Cicero travel basketball team. And I have to point this out, I’m a pretty decent basketball player.
So on Saturday, I have this 3-game tournament with the 7th and 8th graders, and I’m in 6th grade. And like I said, I’m a pretty decent all-alround player. We went 0-3 which is weird considering we are a pretty good team but let me tell you, we went against 8th and 9th grade teams. I’m just glad we actually put up a fight, I mean we could of won our last 2 games, but because our 2 star basketball players were being ball hogs, they cost us the game. But the 3rd one I got really angry, we were losing by 1 point and one of our star players took 2 open shots and missed both. But on the last one I rebounded it, I tried to shoot it but 2 girls on my side bumped me causing my shot to be terrible, and what do you know, their star player happens to be right in front of me to make the easiest block a person could ever have. We lost I was anger, no foul, their star players seems to of have the game winning block, when she didn’t,
After that it was a regular long weekend, on Sunday my family and I went to church my my grandparents and uncles, we went to McDonalds later. For the rest of the long weekend, my siblings and I just watched TV and used our IPad’s all day. We were going to go out on Tuesday since our dad didn’t have any work, but since he was “too tired” he never took us anywhere. Then we just waited and waited until school came. But then on Tuesday something happens suddenly.
It was in the afternoon, I was in my room using my IPad, my siblings were running around the house playing, my mom was at work, and my dad was in the living room watching TV. But when my siblings got to my doorway running, our white tiles caused my sister to slip, and my little brother slipped as well, but he got the worst of it. Because when he fell, he landed on his nose. The next thing you know, his nose starts to bleed, he gets up and starts running while crying to my dad. My sister and I told our dad everything, he believed us because I knew my sister would have gotten in a lot of trouble. After the incident was done, my brother started saying his head hurts, so my dad called my mom and she told him to put a hot towel on his head. Later his head pain faded away, and soon what happened today is now a memory.
And that is my weekend, I hope you enjoyed this blog for today! (Oh I almost forgot, I took down my Halloween decorations today)
